Hey there! There are a lot of worship songs out there, but this is a list of of some of The Best Worship Songs of all Time. (At least for now)
Christian worship is the act of attributing reverent honour and homage to God. Jesus in John 4:23-24 teaches that we should worship God in spirit and in truth. So without wasting any more time, this is a list of some of The Best Worship Songs of all Time in no particular order.
This powerful song was released in 2017 and has had over 76 million streams. It is sung in both English and Igbo. Ekwueme is an Igbo word which means “The One who says and does” The song speaks of the awesome might of God and makes try to paint a picture of how omnipotent God is. Sadly, Osinachi lost her life on April 8th, 2022, aged 42. Her cause of death is alleged domestic violence suffered at the hands of her husband. No description can do this song justice, so check it out and tell me what you think.
The YouTube video has English subtitles where necessary, but Here is a link to the lyrics and English
This song speaks of the love God has for his people. A love that is more than enough to sustain us in every circumstance we might find ourselves in. Jireh is one of the many names for God and it means “God will provide” If God, who is Jehovah Jireh, dresses the lilies with so much beauty and splendour, how much more will he clothe, feed, provide for you?
In This song, Tauren Wells celebrates God’s sovereignty over all of creation. He says “On the mountains, I will bow my life To the One who set me there
In the valley, I will lift my eyes To the One who sees me there
When I’m standing on the mountain
I didn’t get there on my own, when I’m walking through the valley, I know I am not alone! You’re God of the hi-hi-hills and valleys And I am not alone” At our highs, we should remember that God got us there and at our lows, He is there with us.
All that matters is a song by Nigerian gospel artist Gift Ugochi Christopher ‘GUC’ who goes by the stage name Minister GUC.
In all that matters, Minister GUC praises God, telling Him He is all that matters, and acknowledges that His life would be meaningless without God.
Matt Redman urges his soul to bless and worship the Lord’s Holy name – to sing praises to the Lord like never before.
When the sun comes up and a new day dawns, we should sing God’s praises. We should praise God who is rich in love and slow to anger. Whose name is great and who is kind. Let us make a commitment to still be singing God’s praises on the day our strength failing and our time has come.
This song more that deserves a place in my list of The Best Worship Songs of all Time.
6. Not For A Moment (After All) by Meredith Andrews
This beautiful song by Meredith Andrews is drawn from Hebrews 13:5-6 “Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said,” I will never leave you nor forsake you.””
It is a celebration of God’s promise to never leave nor forsake us. After all, God is only good and constant and will not change. Not for a moment.
